Abstract
The High Country, home to Doctor Rock, Chimney
Rock, and other important locations, was put at risk
due to the construction of an access road between
Gasquet and Orleans. This road is more commonly
known as the ‘G-O Road’ or ‘GO Road’. In 1982,
construction of this road was drawing near, and the
tribes whose land was at risk decided to intervene.
