This summary statement gives the importance of the High Country and a detailed timeline of the cultural reports that have been conducted over numerous years since the USFS first announced its plan for the NO GO Road. Even though all the reports clearly stated the road being built is NOT recommended the USFS opened bids for the construction of the Chimney Rock section through the Blue Creek area anyway.
