"Native American Ceremonial lands are not separate entities from the lives of Native peoples," a Yurok Elder states. It has been a prayer area for spiritual guidance since time immemorial....This area has always been sacred to the Yurok, Karuk, and Tolowa Tribes."
"The Supreme Court decision will have adverse ramifications for the rights of Native people. The 1978 Freedom of Religion Act directs all federal departments (including the department of agriculture) to protect and preserve the the Religious Rights of Native Americans."
