Abstract

The purpose of the amendment is to strengthen the American Indian Religious Freedom Act by requiring Federal agencies to manage federal lands so as not to impair or interfere with the exercise or practices of traditional Indian religion. Further, it will provide United States District Courts with the authority to issue orders to enforce this requirement.
